Height Adjustment

Shown in this image is a view of the inside of the R.H.S. R & DS side frame. It is shown with top shelf and bridge shelf side plates attached. Below are the desk and synth shelf slide mounts.

Fitted on the inside face of the two upright tubes is a series of threaded nutserts each being 1RU = 44.45mm (1.75") apart vertically. You will notice that there are four levels of nutserts at the top of the side frame giving four height positions. The top shelf side plate is fitted on the second lowest level. The top four levels of nutserts in the lower section provide corresponding mounting for the bridge shelf. This maintains a 12RU gap between the top shelf and bridge shelf. This distance is chosen to suit the largest common computer monitor size of 21". The complete rack section of the R workstation or bridge and top shelf of the DS workstation can thus be attached at a height to suit whatever desktop components are being used. For especially tall mixers etc. have a look at our Tall option.

This image shows a closer view of the lower section of nutserts mentioned above. The top four levels of nutserts are for attachment of the bridge shelf, shown here in the third top position. Below are the desk and synth shelf slide mounts. You will notice that they have three mounting holes. This allows for finer 15mm (5/8") height adjustment of the sliding desk and sliding synth shelf.

For Desk Series models the same adjustment of top and bridge shelf is provided however only one level of nutserts are fitted for attachment of the fixed desk giving a standard desk height of 716mm (28.2")
